J-Clean

J-Clean are a specialist carpet and upholstery cleaning firm based in Hertfordshire, and after recent successes have moved to also cover the Bedfordshire with the addition of another branded van to their fleet. With a multitude of services offered, J-Clean specialise in carpet and rug cleaning, as well as leather and fabric upholstery reconditioning. As a family run business running for over 15 years, J-Clean has a long tradition of excellent customer service and professional cleaning.

Web Design Brief

J-Clean have been online for several years now with an old website that they felt was time to start to see better results through online enquiries. Initially looking for improvement on organic search results, J-Clean contacted ClarityWEB to see how we could help with our SEO services.

After researching J-Clean and their industry and taking a look at their website, ClarityWEB offered two propositions. The first was the SEO package in which J-Clean were originally interested and the second was a site rewrite with one of our custom written CAS websites, including a 3 month SEO service.

After looking at some of the websites ClarityWEB have produced and a draft homepage of how we intended to freshen up their current design, J-Clean had no hesitation in committing to updating their site with us.

Graphic Layout

With a brief from J-Clean to keep the site similar to a layout with which they like taken from their current site, our graphic designer set about creating a modernised and fresher look to better represent the professional company the site represents.

With a simple gradient adding visual interest to the previously monotone background the site was instantly pulled off the screen. Maintaing the white background, but added rounded corners, the site has been freshened up using simple techniques.

The header of the site now contains the branded J-Clean van (complete with provate registration) and a simple navigation panel, as well as the large animated company branding. This consistency throughout the site was something that has really impressed our client. A company phone number is now ever-present for users looking for fast information upon visiting the site.

Adding bolder, coloured headings and cleaner images moving throughout the rest of the site has given the refreshing lift that we felt the old site needed to bring their online presence inline with J-Cleans sharp logo.

Flash Animation and more

ClarityWEB added some extra 'sparkle' and visual appeal to the J-Clean redesign by adding a flash animated logo. As with all flash content that ClarityWEB use on our clients site we ensure cross platform compatability, meaning that users accessing the site from mobile devices will not be hindered by those non-flash supporting.

Extra interest is added to the image content of the site by having all of the news, about us, and services images 'fancyboxed'. This allows users to see an enlarged image and a brief description by clicking on the image within the site design.

Content Administration System

An important part of the production of the J-Clean website was the ability for our client to have the ability to update the site with important changes and news for their customers.

Our Content Administration System allows J-Clean to keep their site maintained with correct and accurate information at all times. With the ability to add, edit and delete news, galleries and services they have a large amount of control of what their customers can see.

With every website ClarityWEB writes we never use template designs or code, and create every site from scratch. This ensures that there is no adapting code to fit a function, but the code is written to do exactly what our customer requires. The ability to add new services was important to J-Clean as the products and services they are able to offer grows, they need to be able to inform their clients through their website. They also have the news function to tell customers about this. Not only do they have this ability, they can do it in the simple format that we have created for them.
