BAD WEBSITES WHERE PAGE RANK ROSE
How's this for irony. In 2008, a site called Web Pages That Suck
named it's list of the worst websites. They'd done this in 2007 too. It's a very entertaining read and you can see it in full here:

The nominations received a lot of attention around the web. As a result of that, the page ranking of the sites took a very substantial turn for the better!
10. Toy Joy
- this one has been redesigned since the awards were made, and now has a page rank of 4.
9. 5 Safe Points
- well it looks as awful as ever but it now enjoys a page rank of 4 too!
8. Alternative Transport Services
- this one hasn't quite seen the ranking rise of a few others, and we do wish they'd get those images sorted out(!), but it still now enjoys a page rank of 3.
7. Stexps
- with a page rank that is now at 4, they've still kept the music...
6. CCCP
- it's a crying shame they removed the guy that used to appear on the home page all the time and annoy the life out of you by speaking, but it did get them a page rank of 4.
5. Clean Is Happy
- very possibly one of the strangest site introductions of all times! If you don't laugh, you're not human. It now enjoys a page rank of 5.
4. Yvettes Bridal Formal
- prepare for a shock! Quite how you're meant to read this we're not sure. Oh, and the music is, well, see for yourself....(it got a PR of 3).
3. Brill Publications
- let it run for a while and see if you can put up with much more. It did achieve a page rank of 3 as a result of the nomination though!
2. Fabric Land
- this lets the side down a bit by having got to 3 and now it's dropped to a 2. It's worth looking at just to see a few graphics we'd not seen for over 10 years!
1. Havenworks
- a page rank of 5! Don't click yet though - you really do have to prepare yourself for this one. Get someone else to come and look over your shoulder too. You won't regret it. A classic.
It got us wondering...what could be the highest page rank possible for a site that gets into such a list? Maybe someone should design one and see? We'll leave it to you.

The next one got a special mention for being baffling, but we happen to think it is superb. You just can't help wondering...but it shot up to a page rank of 6.

Finally, we have The Stupid Fun Club. Quite why, who knows?!

So, all of which begs the question - do some people live in a completely different world to the rest of us? The evidence is quite compelling in some cases, if you can keep your eyes on the screen for long enough.
We did like The Occulus one though. Stunning visually, whatever it meant.
